255/40/17 Blizzak LM-25 all around, not exactly the optimum size for deep snow. Snow was level or a bit higher than the bottom of the car and snow would pack inside the fascia above the splash guard. Deep snow just didn't work in this case, especially fresh powder snow. Got stuck a few more times later that night with unplowed roads where again the snow ahead of the car was higher than the bottom of the car. Otherwise there were other occasions with a few inches of snow that were fun, blasting uphill (steering with rear often) while a few other sedans were stuck. Did great in slush and light snow pretty much. The Z itself is just too low for anything more than a few inches of snow. If I were to choose again I would go thinner if I planned on driving in any snow. Just drove a Z tonight @ ~30F with summer tires and remembered why I bought winter tires. In the dry, the LM's are predictable and handle well for winter temperature. Wear does not seem to be an issue with the LM, I think this was an advantage of performance winter tires compared to snow and ice tires. Nothing will ever come close to traction of summer tires in warm weather. AS tires dedicated to winter over winter tires dedicated to winter, seems... Guess we'll find out how it does in at least some light snow this season.
